September Kindness Drive

Hurricane Harvey Drive

This 2017-2018 school year we would like to incorporate Kindness through a monthly activity instead of just the one week a year. This month our focus is on the families and students that have lost so much due to Hurricane Harvey.

Here are two ways you can help:

1. AMAZON WISHLIST SCHOOL SUPPLIES DIRECT DONATIONS

These school supplies will be shipped directly from amazon to our adopted schools and teachers in Texas.

Please click on this link and select the items and quantity you wish to donate: https://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/AAGC0BA0CGOU/ref=cm_sw_em_r_d_g__wb

Don’t forget to start at: https://smile.amazon.com/ref=smi_se_dshb_sn_smiChaparral’s PTA link.  Please select shipping to Kristie Rains. She is one of the school principals that we have been in direct contact with.

2. We can accept Amazon gift card and or cash donations to go directly towards the supply donations needed. We will use these funds to buy some of the larger bulk items from the list. Checks can be made to Chaparral PTA c/o Harvey Donation.

Please help these students find some normalcy after such a devastating situation. Here is the information of the schools we elected to adopt:

SCHOOLS

Lumberton, Texas Schools: 250 students

Sour Lake, Texas Schools: 538 middle students, 600 elementary students

TEACHERS

Approximately 26+ teachers lost their home. We will be adopting those teachers.

Let’s rally as a school and help as a community to show Texas that our Roots and Wings really soar here in Ladera Ranch!!

Sincerely,

Nicole Lindstrom, Chaparral
