Community Unity is a Chaparral PTA program designed to serve our community and surrounding cities while teaching our children the importance of selflessness.  Students will learn that support for others does not always have to be monetary, but instead can be as simple as the donation of one's time. 

Each month throughout the school year, Chaparral students will support a different cause or organization.  Sometimes this will require parent involvement in the form of new or used donations, and other times students will simply be taking time during their recess, if they so choose, to craft or create an item to be donated.  Some examples of hands-on events include preparing care packages and notes of gratitude for active duty military, student-led coin drives for the "Adopt-an-Animal" program at the Santa Ana Zoo, and creating handmade Valentine's cards for senior citizens.
